Module 1

Chapter 1 discussed the importance of educational psychology and how it affects teaching and learning. Various research methods were also discussed. I actually received a psych minor during my undergrad, so I am thrilled that I have some background knowledge about this subject. I did have to brush the rust off to once again think about this stuff again.

Chapter 2 discussed cognitive development and the developing brain of a student. Piaget's and Vygotsky's theories of development were discussed. Once again these are things I haven't really thought about in a long time but I enjoyed revisiting these theories.

Chapter 3 discussed moral and physical development. This includes things like changes and challenges to both. Erikson's eight stages of development were discussed, as well. It was nice getting a refresher of parenting styles and the different types of children there are out there. Like popular or rejected, for example.
